Introducing the Bauer NSX Griptac Composite Hockey Stick - perfect for players of all ages who are discovering the magic of hockey. The NSX model was created to provide a simple and comfortable option for beginners, regardless of age. Whether you're a junior player or an adult who values recreational play, the Bauer NSX hockey stick eliminates any doubts about choosing the right stick, especially for those who have never played hockey before.
The simplicity of the Bauer NSX stick's design starts with its mid-kick profile and shot technology, ensuring consistent response and dynamics when learning different types of shots. The composite NSX stick's shaft is made from straight UD carbon fiber, providing a medium weight, stability, and cost reduction, resulting in an attractive entry-level price for novice players. Constructed in a two-piece technology, the model includes a blade based on Bridgecore technology, also made from UD carbon fiber.
If you're looking for an affordably-priced composite stick for beginner players, both recreational and those just discovering hockey, be sure to consider the Bauer NSX hockey stick. It's an excellent choice that combines unique simplicity, adaptability to needs, and attractive pricing.
Hockey Stick Height
While standing upright with the stick in front of your body (the blade touching the ground), the stick should be positioned between your chin and nose. When wearing skates, the stick should align with your chin. Hockey sticks come in specific lengths, so not every player can simply grab a stick off the shelf and expect a perfect fit. In such cases, the stick may need to be cut or extended using an extension. Shortening the stick will increase its stiffness, while adding an extension will reduce its stiffness. Most composite hockey sticks will have markings indicating how the flex rating changes after cutting the stick.
Hockey Stick Flex
A lower flex rating means the stick is softer and easier to bend, while a higher flex rating means the stick is stiffer and requires more force to bend.
